You've got mail

The last of the envelopes have been stamped, sealed and sent.

The first photo shows my work-station, fobby korean-table. I used the label maker at work to print the invitee's address and my return address for the back. I wanted to continue the theme on the envelope so I embedded the image of the flower onto the envelope label as well.

I used 12x12 brown cardstock to be the invitation backing. So the Gocco'd invite and map of the bridal shower location is in the inside and closed together with red ribbon.

First Gocco Project

This is my first Gocco project ever. I found an image of a flower stamp online and used that for my design on this bridal shower invitation. The invite has red ink on white cardstock.

I finally convinced myself to get the Gocco before it goes into oblivion. I want to make my friends bridal shower invites!

gift tag swap 2

For Gift Tag Swap 2, I decided to do something with buttons. I was inspired by this little card I saw. So I headed down to LA Garment District and picked up an assortment of buttons and ribbon. When I saw the rick-rack I knew it would be the perfect addition.

Awaiting A Package

I ordered 2 new cookbooks from Amazon. I had initially seen 500 Cupcakes at Kitson on Robertson. So I went home and checked out since its a much better deal. But came across Pretty Party Cakes. I also put in Creative Cookies to get free shipping.

Completed Gift-Tag Swap

So I received my gift-tags and they were all so amazing.

I grabbed this photo from shimandsons. (I hope she doesn't mind... my picture didn't come out as well.) This blog has the most absolutely beautiful things! It gets me all motivated.

I ordered a bunch of brads and eyelets from ebay and picked up many sheets of paper from Paper Zone. So I will create soon.

gift tag swap

I took part in a gift tag swap. So the deal was we make 10 gift tags and send them to one person. Then the organizer is goign to send you 10 different gift tags. I was very afraid mine were going to be all amateur. But they turned out very cute. They have a childish charm to it, perfect for a child's gift or baby shower gift.

I packaged in black envelopes that I got from a paper store, I was looking for slightly smaller envelopes but didn't find anything to my liking. I also picked up the big round colored circles. I kept to my color scheme of using orange and blue since I used those colors with my gift tags. I happened to be at Target rummaging around their office supply area when I wandered into their card section. They have all these new DIY card choices and that is where I found the paper that goes around cardstock (I don't know what its called)... But it all matched so perfectly. Below is the finished product. The best part of the gift tags are they are little chalkboards! I painted the bolsa wood with chalkboard paint and glued on my little animals. And voila!

my 1st entry

I started this new blog so I can document all the things I make and attempt to create.
